Posts: 256 Nov 17 11 12:41 AM	Tags : None Remove this ad I have had great results from lash fx but last 4 weeks have had 2 people with red itchy eyelids and I've been using the glue on them for almost 3 months. The lady who did my lashes with my bottle of glue got a terrible rash on her forehead of all places? Fumes? Jill said people can develop allergies over time. So now looking at cils and flash lash as an alternative. About to open premier lash glue which is rubberized so will see how that goes

Posts: 766 Nov 17 11 6:08 AM	When I tried the Platinum I had a few people mention red, itchy eyelids the next day. As for a true allergic reaction to the adhesive, which is red, swollen, itchy eyes that are almost unbearable, look horrible, and lasts for a few days, the only thing I can use on those clients is xtreme's flex fusion glue. It does not have the black carbon colorant in it, which is apparently what gives the reaction. Posts: 100 Nov 17 11 11:13 AM	I think the Premier Rubberized is like "The Lashe" formerly Outlashe adhesive but I'm not 100%. It is fairly thick and will take some getting used to. I have a bottle of the Cils France Link- Lash on the way so I will keep you posted about its performance. Edited 2 times by Jojo Jan 3 12 3:03 PM.

Posts: 766 Nov 17 11 2:08 PM	Yes JoJo let us know! I have a bottle of Novalash Platinum Bond that someone gave me. I've never opened it. But... I've touched up lashes with this glue and it seems very thick, and the lashes are impossible to remove just about. I wonder if it is rubberized. I tried 2 of the Outlashe samples. The glue may be good, but that tiny container just made it impossible to work with. aka starfish, EE chat! www.flawlesslashes.com

Posts: 100 Nov 17 11 2:40 PM	I totally agree that it was so impossible to shake those little 'pen' samples.By the way, I just found out that we were supposed to 'roll' the pen samples. I think Emily (Queenbee) had some trouble with her full size bottle in not being able to get the product out but she phoned Outlashe and they gladly replaced it for her. I do know that the Outlashe now The Lashe adhesive is fairly low odor and most people can use it. You might want to call Nicole (1-773-202-9399) at The Lashe and talk to her about your sensitive clients. The director at Cils France, Andrea, was very nice to talk to. She is quite knowledgeable and it sounds like she's been doing lashes for a very long time. Sarah how are you doing with your adhesive trials? Any Keepers yet? Posts: 135 Nov 17 11 3:06 PM	I just ordered my 2nd bottle of Platinum from Jill. I am lashing 9 months now. Just wish there was something faster drying now that my speed is picking up.Regarding reactions...I wonder if the lots that all companies get from the orient change from order to order.

Posts: 256 Jan 2 12 8:28 PM	Remove this ad Hi jojo, I really like premier glue, but you do need another drop about every 20 mins I'm finding so bottle won't last too long. I am keen to try cils lash link, I only have 2 clients who have developed allergies recently, so might have to invest. Again it's the shipping costs to aust that make it expensive. $40 to send the glue! I am going to try blink diamond coating as a sealer and see how that goes. Also have one client that no glue seems to stick so maybe a sealant might help

Posts: 100 Jan 2 12 8:54 PM	Madame Lashes, I do know with The Lashe adhesive that you need to enter the adhesive at the same spot each time from 'underneath'. It is supposed to form a thin skin on the top of your drop. Apparently this is so that the drop of adhesive lasts longer. Nicole at 'The Lashe' was very good at explaining the best way to work with this adhesive. You might want to contact her and it just might help extend your bottle. When I've had someone with a reaction and I use the Flex Fusion on them, they are fine. So I am wondering if a clear glue would give the same result. Posts: 26 Jan 3 12 7:03 AM	@Sarahlash + I think you used the FF when I visited you. The purple colored one? Since I'm not with Xtreme, I can't get their glues. I am so sad because these 2 clients I lost really love their lashes!! I tried fans and curing and washing, and told them to wash their eyes when they got home, but both had itchy swollen eyes for a few days. I was SICK about it! I guess I must try to find a clear glue and see what happens with them. Def doing a patch test first to double check. Any tips on how to work with a slower adhesive? I have been working with fast ones since I started, and think I may get too frustrated waiting......zzzzzz. @MadameLashes + And then I read the comment about a forehead rash.....which I have developed in the past few months. I have very reactive skin {I'm a hairdresser} and just kept thinking it was something I have been using on myself lately. I have stopped all hair products, and just use Cetaphil for my face. Posts: 256 Jan 4 12 2:50 AM	Beauty mama, the lady Who does my lashes only got that rash once on her forehead when she did mine with lash fx. But every glue seems to cause her a reaction now when I do hers. She takes antihistamine before nd after and lots of eye drops . I've never heard of curing or washing till last week, when u train with xtreme you do not put any liquids on for 48 hours, evn their protective coating , so this was all new to me, hence trying a sealant in the future. Washing is wiping around the skin around eye after? How would that help? Jojo I used outlashe and bought it fom someone outside the company so don't think it was the original product so not too good for me. When I bought premier glue I asked Scott if you used it the same as outlashe ie dipping, and he said he had no idea what their glue was like? I am sure they are pretty identical . I tend to dip and drag from all around tho, not one spot? Sorry to say flex fusion is the worst glue I have ever used! And close to $300 a bottle forget it! Xtreme really have to look at themselves, no follow up, bad customer service, and ridiculous prices! Plus they've only just bought out a d curl, so behind the times . But maybe that's just in Australia?

Posts: 256 Jan 7 12 5:37 AM	Jojo a friend of mine who is a trainer has her own supplier of glues which she says are the same as the well known brands . I bought one which was supposed to be outlashe but was already opened ( my fault for not being strong enough to demand a replacement!) but it separated after 2 months and I also had problems with fumes, so it was obviously not the real product! Lesson learnt

Beautymama, working with a slow glue is frustrating, no way around it! ha! JoJo I do get a little cough like that every so often, not crazy, but just a little one.
